Summer Concertina Sketchbooks

Service Description

Join me for a morning of creative sketchbook play and botanical printing! Create a simple concertina sketchbook before exploring the grounds of The Hearth for inspiration. We'll be looking at thumbnail drawing, texture rubbings and will also collect foliage to do some botanical printing. Weather permitting; I would also love to do some cyanotype printing (let's hope the sun shines on the day!) We will spend a short period of time outdoors during the morning before returning to the hall to collate, add to our drawings and play with some creative print techniques. You will also have the opportunity to print on cloth; keen stitchers might like to take cloth pieces home and add embroidery! I will be there to guide you along and chat about sketchbook work in general, with plenty of examples. All materials are provided and refreshments will be available throughout the session.
