Sycamore Gap

Returning in 2024 is my popular Sycamore
Gap workshop. Working in a linen "round" I will guide you through bonding photo fabric in place and building a textile collage to describe the landscape around this dearly loved Northumberland icon. All materials are provided.

Vintage sewing machine textile art workshop

Singer

Returning in 2024, "Singer" celebrates the iconic sewing machine, combining appliqué and transfer techniques with hand embroidery, to create a layered textile collage. All materials are provided and I will guide you through piecing together your own unique composition, step by step. There'll be plenty of materials to inspire and lots of vintage haberdashery items to pique your interest on the day! All set in the welcoming hall at The Hearth. Refreshments are served throughout the day and you are welcome to bring lunch or order a delicious lunch from The Hearth Cafe

When the Boat Comes In

Inspired by local sea shanties, vintage postcards and tobacco tins, this workshop looks at combining appliqué and hand embroidery to create your own steamboat piece, framed with stitched text.
All materials are provided and teas and coffees are served throughout the day. You are welcome to bring lunch or treat yourself to a delicious lunch from The Hearth Cafe!

Refunds and Cancellations
Please contact me if you are unable to attend a workshop and would like a refund or to rearrange and attend an alternative course. I offer full refunds up to one week before the workshop date. Refunds requested within 7 days of the workshop date will be issued minus a £10 cancellation fee.
